Although the season of the 2021 IMF XCAT World Championship held in the United Arab Emirates in the past two weeks is short and concise, the competition is still exciting, close, and sometimes intense. After the Dubai Grand Prix on Friday and Saturday, Dubai Police teammates Arif Alzafin and Nadir Bin Hendy won first and second places on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The home waters in Dubai won the UIM XCAT World Championship International Ocean Club.

The team’s world championship title was not easy to come by because of the outstanding performance of the two ships of the Abu Dhabi team. In fact, the Abu Dhabi 5 teammates Rashed Al Tayer and Majed Al Mansoori ended the season with a high profile. They won the last game of the season and finished second in the total score, 13 points behind the Dubai Police. The player led the Abu Dhabi 5 team with 143 points with 156 points. Shaun Torrente and Faleh Al Mansoori of Abu Dhabi 4th team ranked third with 109 points, while six teammates Tomaso Polli and Matteo Nicolini ranked fourth with 92 points. The winning team's Erik Stark and Mohamed Alyammahi ranked fifth with 82 points.

With the advantage of maintaining the lead after three games in Fujairah, the Dubai Police completed a strong game on Friday, defeating the Abu Dhabi 4 team that won pole position a day ago. This victory almost solidified the championship, unless there was a dramatic and unforeseen climax on Saturday.

"We are very happy to win the game back at home," Binhendy said. "It was a tough race and the competition was fierce. We finished second in pole position, but we kept a very close gap in the fifth boat."

The brief 2021 XCAT season makes the team happy to return to the racetrack in 2022.

Abu Dhabi 5 bravely fought to maintain the championship hope, and before the Dubai Police took first place, he was ahead of pole in half of the 18 laps. Abu Dhabi 5 leads Abu Dhabi 4 in second place, followed by HPI Racing Team Rosario Schiano Di Cola and GS Di Cola in fourth place, and Tomaso Polli and Matteo Nicolini in sixth place.

Winning by 26 seconds, Al Zaffain and Bin Hendi led by 18 points in the season finale on Saturday afternoon. However, the life of the Dubai Police Team did not go as expected, because the steering hose of its ship broke when preparing to start the first lap of the two laps. Steering failure and oil leakage forced the teammates to return to the pontoon to solve the problem. After returning to the track, they completed the fastest lap.

Since repairs were not allowed once the race started, this issue led to the inevitable disqualification, and the Dubai Police fell behind in the starting lineup for the 12-boat race because Abu Dhabi 5 won pole position.

Knowing that fifth place is still enough to win the championship, and a mistake may be taken away, Al Zaffain and Bin Hendi resisted their nerves and gradually climbed across the field to take second place, behind Al Tayer and Al of Abu Dhabi at 18.5 seconds. Mansoori.

"The game is very good for us," Altaïr said. "We started first and didn't save the boat until the end. We are very happy with the victory. This time we are ranked second in the World Championships, but next year we want to do better."

Torrente and Faleh Al Mansoori-the world champions of Abu Dhabi 4 in 2018-won another podium position in this year's shortened XCAT World Championship to secure third place. The HPI racing team finished fourth on the day, and the winning team finished fifth.
